Last full day in Italy. Explored the ruins of Emperor Hadrian's country estate, the old town in Tivoli, then caught a lovely chiaroscuro sunset .

I picked up this 1951 Disney comics digest in Italian from a street book vendor in Naples for a very special Disney adult in my life.

"Topolino" is apparently the Italian name for Micky Mouse -- who is seen here smoking a pipe.

Visiting Venice was surreal because I've seen it in so much media. (Seeing the French Quarter for the 1st time must be a similar experience--I can't say as I grew up with it!)

But I was utterly unprepared for the gritty magnificent charm of Naples' Centro Storico when I wandered in tonight! #napoli
