I don't mean to imply that progressivism is disparate from marginalized communities, only that there is a strain of leftist thought, that in practice presents any opposition as unintelligent or unthoughtful.

Please, if you're willing to have the conversation I'm willing to listen.
I'm not sure I understand where I implied this. It certainly wasn't the point I was trying to make. Some Black leftists have spoken in exactly the same way as their white compatriots... Could you expound further?

Anything that hints of intersectionality offends him. It's why he couldn't convince voters in South Carolina to support him either time. People were wondering why he didn't put in that work at the time.

It recoils him.

So, here’s where the logic breaks down:

Since October 7th, 2023, the Right has been making a concentrated effort to brand the Left as fundamentally anti-Semitic. What do you think will happen if the Democrats field a candidate who HAD A WHOLE-ASSED NAZI TATTOO ON HIS CHEST?
Establishment Democrats spent a full year complaining the Left forced them to be “woke.”

But then a left populist, Graham Platner, threatened to win in Maine, so they went right back to trying to cancel someone over old internet posts.

“Please pay attention yall!”

Baby that’s all we do. It’s why we’re tired and on edge.
Exquisite political rhetoric...
Mamdani: "And while I appreciate all who have rushed to my defense over the past few days, I think of those Muslims in this city who do not have the luxury of being the Democratic nominee, who do not have the luxury of being deemed worthy of solidarity."
Probably fair. This is central to the paternalism of whiteness more generally, but I've felt like there's a specific brand of "radical" leftist thought that is dismissive of alternatives. Any alternatives to their preferred candidate.
"They're too stupid to know they're voting against their own interests..." No baby, we just know our whites better than you think we do...
Graham Platner reminds us that the consistent stumbling block for the progressive cause is not the centrist or liberal, but a lack of respect for marginalized communities to whom they feel no allegiance, yet demand their obsequi. And when those communities don't fall in line they're called stupid...
She said that so confidently, too... just walked right past till Renee called her back.
Kelly Clarkson (43), not knowing Renee Goldsberry’s (54) age, was like, girl, “I’m older than you…” 😂
Who dealt? Cuz I'm probably going for 8, especially if I get to lead...
Covering up your very obvious Nazi tattoo with a Fenris tattoo is not the way to beat the allegations...
DOOMTREE BANGARANG! ALL THESE RAPPERS SOUND THE SAME! BEATS?! SOUND THE SAME! RAPS?! SOUND THE SAME?! WINGS?! FAN THE FLAMES! TEETH? WITH THE FANGS!
It just seems to me "Do you have any Nazi tattoos?" would be on the list of questions you would ask any potential candidate...
As if we needed to give Magneto more cover for the absolutely bat-shit things he's been pulling off since the silver age...
what the fuck does this mean
It's kinda unsurprising to me that the guy with the Nazi tattoo on his chest is being supported full-throatedly by Bernard Sanders in his run for political office... but I don't really have much more to say on that.
Rose McIver as Liv Moore in iZombie...
I hate doing this because it puts unrealistic expectations on an artist who probably just wants to do their own thing, but my God does Joy Crookes feel like the heir apparent to Amy Winehouse's sound. And not in that way where she feels like a pale imitation, but a successor, influenced but unique.
