That is a very impressive little song and dance!

One of the best things in the TEC 1982 Hymnal is the little descant on this hymn!

My boi Rembrandt used to sit on my shoulder when I napped, but he also walk back and forth, up and down my body. I'm usually a side sleeper, and he'd go from shoulder to ankle and back again... patrolling 💛

You woke up covered in LOOOOOVE

(I love how they will sit on their human's shoulder and watch over them while they sleep 💛)

I feel like In the Hall... is the most meme-able classical music piece, in the loose sense of classical.

Why tho? That is to say, what is their reason for putting the succession of popes into the Scriptures, and for putting it ahead of everything else? I might feel more tolerant if they had tucked it in after the NT *g*

They dubbed his singing, but they needn't have--Jeremy could carry a tune!

Credit to the late @peter.petermorwood.com for the suggestion, made on Tumblr some years ago

As a child I had an irrational fear of seeing Mr Cash on television. When I heard his final recordings, the American Records albums, I was sorry I hadn't gotten interested in him sooner. I *never* thought he was uncool!

I honestly wish I never had read them or become involved in the fandom, which was bonkers. (Not my first or only fandom, just the most bonkers.) And I was older than you, old enough to have known better.

As a child I acted in an all-female amateur production of WfG directed by a moonlighting professional. I think I still have some PTSD from it. Every night I was the first person out of the dressing rooms afterward, and every night the theater was empty. No one stayed to talk to the cast.

Why didn't people pay more attention to that woman?

Also, what do you think of a Wimsey remake with Benedict Cumberbatch as his Lordship?

Oh I'm SO glad I don't have to deal with their shit any more

You have to be a good singer in order to sing badly on purpose

I remember giving Kushiel's Dart to my teenaged stepdaughter. Her mother would probably have pitched a fit if she'd known. Turned out it was very, very much to her taste. *g*

I didn't discover them until I was roughly middle-aged, but boy did they scratch some itches for me. Hm, I think Sookie/Eric scratches some of the same ones... *wanders off to think about this*

What's the one where Ace goes at a Dalek with a baseball bat and comes out on top?
