#Tehran is running out of water. Years of historic drought have pushed rainfall to record lows, and #water reservoirs across #Iran are drying up. The water crisis is certainly among the contributing factors behind the recent protests which have spread to rural areas and turned deadly.

The European Parliament definitively approved the Omnibus I package. Once again, the vote brought together the European People's Party and the far-right groups, sanctioning a substantial downsizing of European standards on sustainability reporting (#CSRD) and corporate due diligence (#CSDDD).
A new analysis by the energy think tank Ember quantifies the cost of using storage to extend the use of solar power beyond the middle of the day. The result is a significant proportion of the energy produced can already be shifted to the evening and night at costs compatible with electricity prices.
