Trying the same thing over and over again, without success, is either the definition of insanity or Russian negotiation tactics, depending on your point of view.

Health care should be accessible and affordable for everyone. Most people who lose Medicaid coverage lose it because they forget to fill out a form or check a box, and the Big Ugly Law doubles opportunities for a simple paperwork mistake to cost someone their access to health care.

This week, I introduced a bipartisan bill to ensure that hardworking air traffic controllers and other aviation safety personnel continue to get paid during future government shutdowns. apnews.com/article/gove...

The Glacier Post Office is a critical lifeline for the 300 people that it serves. Today, I sent a letter to Postmaster General David Steiner advocating for the office to remain open and operational. My office stands ready to assist USPS to ensure there are no further delivery disruptions in Glacier.

This fall, I met with veterans and service providers in Everett, Bellingham, Burlington, Oak Harbor and Lummi Nation. Unfortunately, VA leaders did not attend these events, so I am sending a letter to Secretary Collins to make sure VA hears the perspective of veterans in Northwest Washington.

Trump called air traffic controllers “unpatriotic”—when they were working w/o pay to keep our skies safe.

The shutdown may be over, but the damage isn't. Trainees dropped out because they couldn’t afford to wait out the chaos, and the pipeline stalled right when we needed to bolster it. (1/3)
