Health care should be accessible and affordable for everyone. Most people who lose Medicaid coverage lose it because they forget to fill out a form or check a box, and the Big Ugly Law doubles opportunities for a simple paperwork mistake to cost someone their access to health care.

The Glacier Post Office is a critical lifeline for the 300 people that it serves. Today, I sent a letter to Postmaster General David Steiner advocating for the office to remain open and operational. My office stands ready to assist USPS to ensure there are no further delivery disruptions in Glacier.

This fall, I met with veterans and service providers in Everett, Bellingham, Burlington, Oak Harbor and Lummi Nation. Unfortunately, VA leaders did not attend these events, so I am sending a letter to Secretary Collins to make sure VA hears the perspective of veterans in Northwest Washington.

I will keep fighting alongside House Democrats to make health care accessible and affordable, and lower the cost of living for hardworking families.

Sad to hear that Lenny Wilkens has passed. He was a class act — a player, coach and player-coach. I remember the crowd singing “We Are the Champions” after he coached the SuperSonics to win the 1979 finals.

Yesterday I met with Sea-Tac air traffic controllers and thanked them for their steadfast and invaluable work keeping the flying public safe. Controllers should not have to worry about getting a second job or feeding their families while protecting travelers.

Speaker Emerita Pelosi's leadership in the House of Representatives was historic, effective and principled. It has been an honor to serve alongside her. Thank you to Speaker Emerita Pelosi, Paul, and their family for nearly four decades of service and sacrifice.

Stopped by the Lynnwood Library to donate books from the Library of Congress and see the Día de Muertos altar.

I volunteered this morning with Lynnwood Food Bank. The Trump administration must comply with yesterday’s court order and release $5.5 billion in funding for food assistance.
