Availability ≠ accessibility. Americans struggle to access the benefits they paid for when the SSA is understaffed, field offices are closed, and paper checks are no longer an option.

For all our sakes, it's time to reverse the disastrous decisions DOGE and this Administration have made!

📣 ICYMI, the Trump Administration has appointed SSA Commissioner Frank Bisignano as CEO of the IRS, so he's running both agencies at the same time.

We have a lot of thoughts. You can find them here in our statement. ⬇️

Medicaid cuts not only disrupt health care but can also harm entire communities. A NC grocery store will close in part due to these cuts, and more could be on the way.

This shouldn't happen in the richest country in the world. It's past time to restore funding.

Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's right. We don't think it's right that the ultra-wealthy pay a smaller percentage of their income into Social Security than the rest of us. For the benefit of all Americans, we need to close this loophole!

Americans are already starting to experience the consequences of Medicaid cuts, particularly in rural areas. We can't look away, and neither should our elected officials. It's time to fully restore funding.

🗯️ Say it with us: Programs like Medicare and Social Security aren't "entitlements" or "handouts." We spent most of our lives paying into them! We earned them and they are *ours.*

ICYMI: A new study finds that seniors are the only age group experiencing rising poverty rates in the United States. The best way to combat this disturbing trend? Strengthening programs like Social Security and Medicaid.

📢 The government shutdown won't disrupt Social Security payments, but it could stall cost-of-living adjustments.

Many of us already struggle to keep up with increasing prices - fix the health care crisis and fund the government. Now.

Has Dr. Oz ever even talked to someone who relies on Medicaid? This is a wildly offensive (and untrue!) statement.

The worst part? Oz's disinformation deflects attention from the Trump administration's cruel Medicaid cuts. We're not buying it — restore funding NOW.

DR OZ: If you're sitting at home as an able-bodied person on Medicaid & on average you'll watch 6.1 hours of TV or leisure time at home, you actually don't want that. Opiate use skyrockets

CNBC: There are a lot of people who are on Medicaid who are there actually as caregivers, so they are working

Just so we're all on the same page, Social Security is a sacred trust between Americans and the government. Wall Street should never get close to it. #HandsOffOurSocialSecurity

This shutdown can end as soon as Congress restores health care funding for millions of Americans. Republicans need to do the right thing NOW.

The Treasury Department has appointed Frank Bisignano, already Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, as CEO of the IRS. This is a recipe for disaster.

Alliance Executive Director Richard Fiesta breaks down why.

🚨 SSA Commissioner Frank Bisignano has been named CEO of the IRS — a move that will have him lead two massive agencies at once. The SSA needs a full-time leader, not someone treating the job as a side gig.
