I'd already seen Perfect Blue, which I think is an "Everyone must see this" movie.
The rest was a bit standard, but Tokyo Godfathers and Paranoia Agent are both excellent.

I dropped two shows this year: Moonrise and Key the Metal Idol.
Both were completely incomprehensible to me. It sucks to be down on original shows, but I believe when something's bad, you just gotta step away.

@retrocomputermuseum.co.uk Hi, just a reminder that the creators of the Playboy handheld console expressed interest a few years ago in letting somebody dump the console and game chips in order to have them emulated in MAME.
Think that 2026 could be the year to make this a reality? 🙂

In Donkey Kong Bananza, demolishing all destructible terrain on DK Island reveals a shadow sphere that was hidden at the heart of the island. While the sphere is simply a darkness effect for the cave, it was clearly not intended to be seen like this and creates an ominous effect.

I beat Salamander 3!
17 years of absence has led to another M2 Gradius game. It's good, though a few stages I didn't like that much. Plus, I feel they didn't go as all-out as Konami did with Salamander 2, mainly with the visuals. I'm still glad we got a new Gradius with more bangin' music.
