I think I understand cranberry sauce now.

Never been a fan of apple pie or mac & cheese, but this mixup seems yummy. The combo of sweet and savory is always a hit. Pretty cool Thanksgiving dish.

Cranberry sauce doesn’t make sense to me. And turkey pardons are dumdum. Thanksgiving is such a bizarre secular holiday. But I’ll eat anything if it taste good. So, yeah, feast away. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.

The biggest impediment with me and people is people who fail to do any type of cursory research before asking questions. I am a big believer in research first then ask questions later. Especially simplistic questions that you can get an answer to almost immediately online. It really infuriates me.

That’s scary. No hope of ever resting in peace for a Mesopotamian ghost. Total bummer. And it gives new meaning to the term ‘living dead.’
Being a ghost in Mesopotamia was unfortunately an extension of living in the most uninspired ways: in addition to gaining the memories and appearance of the living at death, the rulers of the Underworld assigned ghosts jobs, which they toiled at for eternity. #FolkloreSunday

It’s cool that astronomers finally have better technology to further understand black holes. And knowing more about black holes does quell my fears a bit regarding them. The possibility of being pulled into a sensorial obliviousness of infinitely dense matter doesn’t seem too terrifying now.
According to the equations that govern black holes, the larger one of these cosmic behemoths is the lower its average density – given that the universe contains a lot of relatively empty space, could the whole cosmos be a black hole?
Is the universe really one big black hole?

Coded clothing for cowards with a crooked conscience and a penchant for cruelty. That’s fascist fashion. And no matter how people try to makeover bigotry its ugliness remains the same. Evil is ugly, bigots are evil.
Fascism is back in style.

Forget the old symbols: swastikas, nooses, Confederate flags, skinheads’ shaved heads and combat boots. Extremism has a new look, and it is as fashionable as ever.

Neat. Plus it’s also the plot of many psychological, paranormal, and science fiction thrillers.
It sounds like a horror story.

Capgras delusion is a real but rare psychiatric syndrome in which a person believes a loved one has been replaced by an identical impostor. First described in 1923, it is linked to psychosis, dementia, and brain injuries.

Idk what the pancake waffle debate is about, but I subscribed to the labeler and it said I was a ‘Pancake.’ So I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

Cool. So basically our zeitgeist is digital. And just like a physical footprint in the sand, the currents of time can wash it away or harden it into a deeply embedded imprint for future generations to rediscover.

But I wonder what will be deemed worthy of digging up versus what will be left buried.
What will future historians know about the 21st century?

You might imagine they will study our every meme and have unprecedented insight into our thoughts because of digital media. But our information is surprisingly fragile. 🧵⬇️ (1/5)

Why is Halloween so popular with adults?

Shifting ideas about what it means to be “grown-up” may be part of the answer.
