What workload? All he does is schedule vacation time, hold press conferences to announce he has no knowledge of anything, and monitors his son's porn usage. Did anyone every figure out where his paycheck actually gets deposited since he doesn't have a bank account? That would be good to know.

Every journalist post: hey guys I know you think that we should have said something about the child trafficker who hung out with our boss and emailed with our coworkers, but you guys are making some real journalistphobic assumptions and forcing us to do emotional labor, please examine your attitude.

Comey-Nuzzi '28 on an independent ticket
While there are often some ethical issues with making free PDFs of paywalled content, in this case it seems entirely justifiable, given the author, the subject, and the journalistic imperative to provide the widest possible audience for the verb "Michael Wolffed"

The lack of values, or at least the indifference to showing any, is completely generalizable
yeah I kinda don't think Nuzzi and Lizza are themselves generalizable.

the people circling the wagons for them, though....
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

Turns out when you performatively display a lack of bias you really are showing a lack of values
one of the purest Everyone Sucks stories I can remember

Thinking about this and also about how I can't remember the last time I could make it through a Vox article because the editing is so poor, just phoning it in every way possible
yeah it’s bad that Lizza has been sitting on this for so long but also how cursory and inept was that Vox investigation that not only managed to miss the biggest scandal in the history of American political journalism but affirmatively exonerated her bsky.app/profile/bkel...
So the editor of New York Magazine said there was no bias or ethical problems with Olivia's articles?

Does he still think that?

They should retract all of her stories

Where's the lie? And what prestigious place will hire her next?
I have said for years that they’re all up to the same tricks. You didn’t want to hear it. Now it comes out a member of the sainted Beltway press bugged the once and future President of the United States to help a political opponent she was screwing.

Hey, props to writers who got literally anything done this year.

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

AOC and Mamdani not backing a primary challenge to Jeffries is fine, actually.

It’s transactional, sure. But Jeffries did ultimately come around and endorse.

IMHO throwing a primary challenge at him now sends a message: Even if you do come around, we may still come after you.

Maybe my favorite painting of all time
Morning: Saint Francis leaves his book behind to rejoice in how divinity infuses natural world. A miraculous breeze blows a single tree toward him while beyond it, life goes on. Painted c1480 by Giovanni Bellini.

A masterpiece of the genre
Pediatricians say vaccines do not cause autism. A bear-eating heroin addict who fantasizes about sucking his own semen out of his lovers' orifices says they do. For busy parents, it can be hard to know who to trust.

The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.
