friend brought it up and reminded me how awful it feels. too often in fandom “I enjoy wol/ocship” is code for “I want free shippy ‘content’ I can project my oc upon” and it’s clear ppl are not there for the package w the oc. It sucks. esp when your oc is a bipoc in an overwhelmingly white space.
