I think, therefore, I review.
The news: "A trans person did a shooting!"

Me: *Looks up the information. Sees giant nazi tattoo on their arm*

Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that, cis or trans, white nationalism is the primary factor in the shooter demographic.

Weird that an ideology centered on murder would do this..

The only way to curtail Ai taking over creative spaces is for us to generate a 4 hour video of Darth Vader giving a reach-around to the Minions while Jesus Christ watches on, nodding in approval and eating Mickey Mouse's brains like meatloaf.
ByteDance says they plan to restrict Seedance 2.0's AI rip-off videos after legal threats from studios like Disney and Paramount

Tubi better have a pretty tight lock on kids mode, since all their upcoming cartoon acquisitions will mean a flood of new eyes on the app.

Giving kids access to a platform that also has "I Spit on Your Grave," "Threads," and the Terrifier movies on it is...well, something I'd be nervous about.

Brundlefly would find Ben 10 infuriating.

Everyone says, "if you can't picture your version of Batman comforting a child, you've just written the Punisher in a funny hat."

I say, "if you can't picture your version of Batman getting his ass beat, you've just written Yujiro Hanma in a funny hat."

I want to see Batman fightin' for his LIFE.

This is an astonishing lineup. Ed Edd n Eddy alone would be hype, but Static Shock and the OG Teen Titans is a huge W.

Really a lot of gold to dig into here.
In cartoon news, Tubi just revealed practically the entirety of the classic Warner Bros/Hanna-Barbera/Cartoon Network library is coming to the platform this March.

For those who don't wanna visit the bird site, here's the full list of what's coming.

Overwatch's major new update has made me fall back in love with the game, and a large part of that is down to how fun its five new heroes are (but mainly Domina, let’s be honest), writes Simon Cardy. https://bit.ly/4tw6M2k

I'm constantly torn between fighting games, where my successes and failures are solely on my own shoulders, and team games where my contribution is only part of the equation.

Team games let me impress others with skillful play, but can be a drag if someone throws.

Folks critiquing California (the state I live in) doesn't bother me for 3 reasons:

1) Critiquing something is how it gets better.

2) There are legit issues that thankfully do get addressed and in smart ways.

3) No one even thinks about problems in places like Iowa or Alabama. They're left to rot.

I don't CARE how dummy thick Overwatch made their new tank, or that they put her in a pencil skirt, I haven't touched that damn game in 10 years and I'm not going back.

My productivity would go in the toilet for the rest of the year if I did, SO STOP TRYING TO HACK MY BRAINNNN

It is absolutely unreal how much people are sleeping on 28 Years Later and it's sequel, Bone Temple.

You've got two of the most harrowing Zombie (infected) films in DECADES and they're...underperforming? Wtf.

A crime that future viewers will look back and be stunned by.

Howzat?

Flanagan did a masterful job with Gerald's Game, so I'm not saying it's impossible to do this project...but The Mist (2007) is as good as you could ever expect from the source material.

Unless he's willing to drastically expand the plot, this is pretty unnecessary and sounds like a headache to do.
Mike Flanagan will write and direct a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ for Warner Bros

It follows a group of people locked in a grocery store after a mysterious fog emerges that hides deadly creatures

Saw a post about banning kids from going to drag shows.

I reminded folks that Shakespeare's plays had men in drag for all female characters.

Then some guy, full of confident ignorance, said "kids weren't attending those"

BITCH, 13-year-old boys played women because their voices hadn't changed. 🤦

The next Friday the 13th movie should drop Jason onto Epstein's island and have him massacre all the people on the flight logs.

Saw an ad for an AI tool that can "help writers with world building." It almost made me spit in disgust.

The whole point of being a writer is to use your own fucking brain.

PLUS, you can have the most expensive world building notes at your fingertips...but then you actually have to tell the story.

So glad we've moved past the "girls with big butts are gross" attitude that was all over the 2000's.

If you think we've gone too overboard in the other direction, then you have no idea how much flagrant boob stuff was flug around back in the day.

Rewatch Bleach sometime and tell me it ain't true.
