honestly the fact that brad bird directed this music video doesn’t shock me that all that much. he was the creative consultant for years.
nah i’m more so surprised that this entire music video took TWO WHOLE WEEKS to animate! that’s insane!!

From that period in the HD-Simpsons where they would just stretch a joke out way too long to the point where it overstayed its welcome. There was no need for the opening zoom to be nearly 30 seconds long.

The logic from this era seemed to be; more jokes, more funny, but in reality keeping this (and other bits) going for so long and including every single possible joke and character only makes it less funny.

Exactly. It may seem like a good idea to use every idea, but it would have been better just to pick and choose the best ideas to fit the length of the original theme.

This is not the same Wall-E built by Imagineering R&D. I believe this Wall-E was built by someone at the wallebuilders.club and contracted for special events.

I do have to point out one error in the new @defunctland.bsky.social Documentary. It states the Wall-E robot would never appear again, but he actually did make another appearance this year for Earth Day. Not in the parks but he did show up at the Pixar Hotel.

I do have to point out one error in the new @defunctland.bsky.social Documentary. It states the Wall-E robot would never appear again, but he actually did make another appearance this year for Earth Day. Not in the parks but he did show up at the Pixar Hotel.
