As I dropped Eric off to play the jazz brunch for Thanksgiving I said as I always do “Play pretty for the people” (a nod to New Orleanian Louie Prima) and Eric replied “You mean for the *person*.” He is not expecting a crowd but I hope he’s wrong.

42 years ago on Thanksgiving morning while watching the Macy’s Parade on tv, I spilled a bit of hot tea close to the baby on my lap. I quickly stripped off his onesie and the combo of my nails & the cool air made the 3 month old laugh for the first time. Guess what I kept doing all day.
