Had a bunch of international standard ink cartridges in black that don't fit any of my fountain pens.
Transferred them into emptyan ink bottle, and dear god the mess!!

Had a bunch of international standard ink cartridges in black that don't fit any of my fountain pens.

Oh dear, I couldn't help myself. I found the Germany exclusive Diamine Ink called Master of Puppets, and as a long time lover of old school Metallica I had to have it.
And now I have that and three other rock themed inks on the way from Germany....

dammit! despite SPECICALLY ordering a battery for an original DS, the one that arrived was for a lite and a totally different size.
Serves me right for ordering on amazon instead of a proper retro gaming site.

Q for the #fountainPens crowd. Picked up a Parker 65 Flighter with Gold trim. Grey Pearl jewel andMade in England on the cap, 14K nib.
Am I right in thinking that this dates it between 1966 (Flighter GT launched in UK) and 1975 when the cap jewels all went to metal?

OK, maybe trying to fit a Majohn Expedition Nib into a Jinhao 9019 was not such a good idea... the nib and feed are now jammed in the nib assembly.

Dammit. Yesterday i had a pack of envelopes in my hand, knowing i needed them today. Less than 24 hours later, i have no idea where i put them.
Not in any of the usual doom piles or where they should be.
On the upside, I just took delivery of 3 lbs of excellent cheese, so it's not all bad!

Went back to have a good fiddle with the nib. A damn good flushing didnt work, but a couple of minutes with some micromesh pads and its now writing very well, considering how tiny the nib is...

Jinhao 10, medium nib. Awful. Keeps drying up halfway through a sentence as if the feed is starved. Gets all draggy and thin. Then a sentence or so later starts flowing again.
Converter, cart, cleaned. No improvement. Which is a shame as when it works it writes nicely. Back to the fine nib I guess.

So the DSG gearbox decided it was a good idea to try and accelerate to 60mph in second gear coming out of the Shell garage onto the A34. The Engine decided that was a crap idea and threw it into limp mode for 20 seconds.
Cue squeaky bum time when I lost all power with a lorry bearing down on me!

Oh the joys of driving from the south coast to the midlands and back.
It's not the driving that i mind, it's that damn A34/M40/M42 stretch again.
Elephant races all the way along the A34, The M40 is full of lunatics and the M42 is average speed cameras all the way cos of the HS2 works.
Miserable.

User is using app version 4.0.6. Needs updating to version 4.0.53. Apparently IT can't count cos they think it's an older version and refused to 'downgrade' him.
Never mind this was sent 2 weeks ago and we've since updated to 4.1.1!
