if no date code and no breather hole, I'm pretty sure that means it was made late 1979 to early 1980!

the breather hole was only there until 1979, and the date codes started in mid 1980.

If you have no breather hole and no date code, then yours should be late 1979-early 1980.

You can see my pre-1979 one with the breather hole in the nib here: bsky.app/profile/rhed...
Picked up a Parker 25 on Ebay for £10. Came with the squishy converter and everything. Popped a cartridge in and it was writing straight away.

Not bad considering this thing is older than I am!

Breather hole on nib means it was built somewhere between 1974 and 1979 i believe.

Does the nib have a little hole in it? If so it is at the latest 1979.

Parker then started putting date codes somewhere around the rim of the cap from the middle of 1980.
Have a look and see if you can find a date code. you can see what codes they used at parkerpens.net/codekey.html

The parker appears to be a Parker 25. It could be older than you think, as they started making those in 1975!

Apart from the cat, I love the fact that the tradition of pub carpets being held in place by faded duct tape is alive and well, and seemingly universal....
