Trickster
#art #abstract #humanartist #creatures
He keeps coming back and reminds you of Kool Aid, sickly yellow with the bones of his dinner still stuck in his broken down teeth. It is perhaps at his encouragement that the tarnished ghost-walrus gives it a try, gathering the light blue creatures and chomping down in disgust. Between them, I think, is the forgotten brother of Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde; however this could as easily be a rotting papaya. Faces, faces, all around the place.

I was bent over at the waist, just standing on the sidewalk. A neighbor walked up. Are you okay? she asked. Yes, I'm just taking pictures of these ice crystals on a rock. Would you believe she hurried away without another word?

Mind Map: Fold here (2024)
#art #abstract #dayANDnight #humanart
Mind maps are composed of words and non-words. This one is divided roughly into 2 parts. The top looks like graffiti art on a black background, but the shape is not quite a building or bus. The graffiti depicts a green building with a sign saying FLIP. Other buildings, implications of music, a crushed steamroller. A giant is putting a chair or giant bug on the roof next door. Words include "good day" "Fold here to maximally utilize," "forsake this meme or memo" "you r here" and mostly faded illegibles.

The bottom half (or more like 60%) shows more words and thoughts surrounding the shape of a crushed can. The can has an eye and mouth (graffiti?), some musical instruments, 1/4 of a colliseum, a tunnel, "490" and an intense little creature. Words surrounding the shape include "no zone, nope, uh-uh, nix, nyet" "SPEAK!" "but you had better not say anything" "Just happen to be" "LMNOP" "Carry On" "move on" "let it go" "then" plus a lot of faded and random words and symbols.

Absolutely valid interpretation. Thank you!

Murk
#art #abstract #inktober #murky #inktober2025 #map
Murky abstract, hidden faces. Depth over definition. Purple on green. Sharpie automatic sketch colored in Procreate. This is a piece about language. Longer looking might reveal snakes, insects, vegetation, landscape features, and ghosts. "That's ugly," she said. Door slamming. "Make it pretty if you want me to look."

Crown
#art #abstract #crown #inktober #inktober2025
Abstract in muted shades of green, dark green, black, and white. There are a lot of characters but only if you are looking for them. Behind them are tents in a circle making the shape of a crown. Background and foreground an't quite be defined. As it is.

Flight
#art #abstract #procreate
A busy and messy abstract in bright colors. Many creatures and stories are depicted throughout. The flying creature seems to be caught up in a web or matrix made of history and gold.

I forgot that I did eventually edit the first line of the book. It was originally, "I did not want to write this book."

Disabling Intelligences eBook is available now link.springer.com/book/10.1007...
I’ll be honest. When thinking about what books might live in me, this was
never one of them. It was certainly not the book I thought I would write
first. I never wanted to become known for artificial intelligence (AI) criti-
cism at all. I want to sit in a lab and tinker with tech, building little gadgets
that delight my disabled kin. I want to maintain surreptitious code bases
of free little hacks that disrupt our perpetually inaccessible and downright-
hostile world. I want to share disabled DIY specs through crumpled little
zines posted in libraries and coffee houses. I want to run a free digital
manufacturing center just for disabled people to come and build exactly
what they want without a doctor, insurance company, or bank account
telling them what body they’re allowed to have.
But in order to do that, I have to fight the inadequacies in technology
policy and medical care. And in order to do that, I have to fight the AI
industrial complex. Because underneath every insurance rejection is a pre-
dictive algorithm, behind every assistive technology is a data collection
scheme, and now, behind every technology policy is an AI hype man.
If I look back, it feels as though the specter of AI has followed me all
along. In the pages that follow, you will find several stories from my life
left like the breadcrumbs leading to this book. Here, I will give you two
more stories that elicit the echoes of eugenics and AI in my life.

The thief
#art #orangevillain #forest #landscape #abstract #humanart
We didn't need any bullshit facial recognition to identify the thief. An orange-headed oaf has invaded the forest where many faces wait, some behind harsh lines, some rising as vegetation. Lives are on hold as the thief roots through everything, taking what he likes for hmself. Mostly shades of green and black abstract.

Studio
#art #abstract #mess #humanartist
A messy abstract in mostly faded yellow, black, and grey with a few spots of color. The blue could be a map or another failed painting. Representation of stairs, eyeballs, and scribblings both in and out of the paintings which are everywhere, every size and orientation. There may or may not be a door here, but how would you know?

Regret
#art #abstract #surreal #automaticdrawing #faces
Abstract in green, gold, brown, and blue. Faces, fungi, and other f-things are incorporated. There is a super sketchy figure in the foreground who may or may not be the holder of the title.

I just spotted him in Pompeii. But I've seen him closer to home too. I'll try to find photos. 🙃I recognize a lot of your guys, but I've seen them in miniature.

🎶The baddest bitch in this club (Costco)🎶

#ootd
Marker drawing of me wearing yellow sunglasses and a black kn95 mask. Also wearing a colorful striped sleeveless shirt, a black skirt, and black wedge sandals. I'm also holding a hot dog.

Behind me is a drawing of a hot dog with that quote "If you raise [the price of the] f***ing hot dog I will kill you" -Costco co-founder to the CEO

Thank you, I am honored. I love your photography work. I am catching up on it now, I've missed a lot lately! Also didn't realize about the setting, I've changed it.
