Apparently, someone once went up to Mark King and asked for his autograph. After he duly obliged, they expressed disappointment he wasn't, as they'd thought, George Melly.
I was the bassist in a well-known group in the 80s to 90s. Decent career. On Ken Bruce's Popmaster, a contestant couldn't name any of our hits. This hurt more than any of the regular kickings we got from those smug fucks at the NME.

Suggestion for all those in England who want to rejoin the EU - get your MP to support a Scottish independence referendum, and watch how quickly and enthusiastically we join the EU, and the benefits we accrue. That would put *enormous* pressure on Brexit in England.
