Here is a starter pack I put together featuring all the psychedelic science researchers and journalists I could find on here. Let me know who I'm missing. It'd be great to get the conversation going on this platform go.bsky.app/NPvFX41
I love this old Rushkoff speech.

"There's two kinds of people in this world: people who believe there's two kinds of people and people who don't believe there's two kinds of people. I used to be the kind of person who believed there were two kinds of people."

Incredible opening!

This data analysis kinda paints the wrong picture. It implicitly damns streaming services for their limited selection but film access has always been limited.

Back in the video store days every store ALWAYS HAD THE SAME few thousand titles. It was infuriating.

I realized how much I live in a bubble over the last wkend when I was talking to a bunch of people about the curse of AI and em dashes, and no one knew what an em dash was.

Common ground was, it's like a semicolon...

On the same day CSIRO announced it was cutting 350 jobs, the Australian newspaper ranked the country's top 250 researchers and institutes by field.

Don't mean to yuck yums but... Citations and metric ranking feels like a bad idea folks!!!!! 🧪

I've got a feeling the DOGE story has yet to be told and there are a few journalists digging into it right now.

Either it failed in its goal of making government more efficient or it succeeded in a totally different goal that none of us were aware of.

Was not prepared for how philosophically rich Pluribus has turned out to be.

Dostoevsky would've been proud of one long conversation scene in this week's episode.

After a mind-bending trip at nineteen, Terence McKenna, or “America’s shaman,” spent his adult life transforming a molecule into a cultural sacrament.

Great coverage by @josh-hardman.bsky.social on the recent LSD microdosing reveal.

For me this is one of the most momentous bits of psychedelic science to emerge in 2025. Sure, it's just a top-line mention with no published study but this trial was about as conclusive as a single study can get.

This guest post from Eric Langberg, on David Farrier's Webworm, is the most thought provoking thing I've read in months.

There is a powerful point here. About how we've lost the ability to agree on (and even possibly understand) words, meaning, and context.

Wow! Didn't expect any announcement so soon, and this is just an informal top-line reveal, but here you go - the most robust LSD microdosing trial I've ever seen.

No effect on depression at 8-weeks compared to placebo.

The 2a open-label data showed massive improvement on this exact metric.

Australia's child social media ban is a mess. A few weeks away from implementation and the entire process is murky, undefined and scattershot.

This is one of the dumbest things I've seen an Australian government do in my lifetime.

Watching a billionaire track their psilocybin experience as if they're some kind of scientist is peak "do your own research" wildness.

I'd imagine there are some pretty amusing private conversations being had by real psychedelic scientists right now who have seriously studied these same things.
