People discovering DISTORT on Amazon Prime is amazing. Low budget analogue horror (ish) films with indie musicians who don't tune their instruments dealing with horrors of the past and present overlapping can be a hard sell, but I hope people connect with it. Please review/share wherever you can!

American friends, can anyone tell me is Distort live at this link? Tubi isn't available in Ireland so I can't tell! (but the link thumbnail is a big closeup of my nostril so I may be off to a good start) tubitv.com/movies/10004...
Distort (2025)
A musician recording an album in the woods finds eerie cassettes of a woman being terrorized by a man and his dog—the same fate that will befall him.

Ok now let’s be fair Distort isn’t worthy of mention in the same breath as Blair Witch, but if this isn’t a Monday morning pick me up of a review from @letterboxd.social , I dunno what is!

Distort is available in all the usual places including free on @watchfoundtv.bsky.social, and also on bluray
Review text from Letterboxd saying; The horror is light, but effective. Not a movie I may watch again, but it did what it needed to do.
I may prefer it over Blair Witch Project as the main guy is way, way more likeable. The forest once more is just too beautiful to not feel attracted to it. And the whole movie is just so calming even when it's supposed to be scary.

You’d think as a horror filmmaker this time of year would be when a lot of people discover my films, but every year it’s the opposite. I guess people go for the classics or big releases. Well, Distort is out now streaming for free or on bluray & ready for you!🎃

I remember watching this in someone’s student flat when I was in college and being absolutely taken by it, but now I can’t for the life of me remember about it. I must rectify that!

Thanks to the generosity of everyone so far, we’ve raised a huge amount for Arthritis Ireland and the Irish Cancer Society, and I’ll keep fundraising until I complete the 10km race. But for today, I think I’ve earned a few hours with the feet up! Contribute at: eventmaster.ie/fundraising/...

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page! Along with my friend Sophia, I will be completing my first 5km race in the Rathfarnham 5k 2025 in just 2 weeks on Sept 28th, then ...

I figured maybe I wasn’t going to hit my goal, but at least I achieved the 5km. Well, when I crossed that line and got my time, I absolutely couldn’t believe it. Today was a big achievement time wise, but now the countdown is on to the achievement distance wise; the 10km.
richmwaters.bsky.social
I absolutely can’t believe it. Maybe it’s because it was the morning when I’m stiffest, maybe because it was my first run with a crowd and it’s a different experience, but it was a tough run, but with huge thanks to my friend keeping pace for about 2/3rds of the race, I got past the worst of it.

Before and after. I did it! My first ever 5km race in the bag! It’s been months of prepping and training and my goal was to complete it in 33 minutes. According to the official stats, I did it in… 29.43!!!

Saturday night after effects work… it doesn’t even seem like a good idea to begin with 🤦🏻‍♂️
richmwaters.bsky.social
After Effects hung on a render and seems to have decided autosaves are for squares. Guess fool on me expecting it to actually have created that new converted project and not just heavily imply it had. I deserve all that work lost for sure. Fecker.

I'm dying to grab that release! Enjoy!

It’s mad. I appreciate games costs have to go up, but am I crazy or did they jump up like 25% in one quick move?

I know folks on here don’t care much about my personal goals, but I’m hard in training and am shocked this arthritic guy who struggled to run 8 mins total on a treadmill just a few years ago is aiming for a sub-33 min 5km in his first ever race for charity this Sunday. eventmaster.ie/fundraising/...

Are you even doing it right if the client doesn’t give ‘one small little change’ that takes at least half a day to actually action?

It’s finally happened; I’m listening to a podcast where the host talks so slow I’m playing at 1.5x speed.

When I was a kid, new n64 games were about €35. The Irish inflation calculator says that’s worth €57.92 in today’s money. I appreciate it’s an expensive industry but wow, that’s a big jump.
