If you're wondering why so many of your apps and services aren't working properly this morning, it's because the AWS region US-EAST-1 is having... some problems, and that's where quite a lot of apps and services host what they need to function (👋 hi Duolingo, NYT Games etc)

There were lots of police at the No Kings rally on Lafitte Greenway in New Orleans and--because it's New Orleans-- these were the same police who patrol and keep everything safe and orderly enough during Mardi Gras; so they were completely cool.

and here's some of what I saw and experienced. The No Kings rally on Lafitte Greenway in New Orleans was HUGE, peaceful, serious and also light-hearted, with many funny costumes. There was no fear ... and no fear of Trump, his acolytes, his minions or his co-conspirators.
