I draw monsters, fantasy stuff and cartoons compulsively and share them here fairly regularly. IDK if these are my best pieces, but they seem to be pretty popular. I also seem to be fascinated by pumpkin-headed dudes.

Natty new tie & matching socks. Signal flag on the old trunk. Rust coming through the running boards. His father's pale forehead. One last pack lunch from Mom. Books full of bits of paper to mark his progress. If you need to understand what art is, there is no better place to start than Rockwell.
The subject was revisited by Norman Rockwell in 1954, with a starker contrast between the generations, fewer heartstrings, and much more optimism.
Rockwell's painting was also hugely popular. Like Hovenden's take, it was widely reproduced, and got the movie treatment too.

Unlike some of the bubbles of the past, there’s a lot of warning happening here. It’s not just a few randos in the woods crowing about this. With a competent govt I’d feel like there were people behind the scenes preparing for the worst. I feel certain that THIS govt is clueless.

Here in Pembrokeshire, overnight, the snow has nearly vanished. It clings on in the small places where the sun hasn’t reached. Like clumps of sea campions making a patchwork of white beneath our toes. Out at sea, do the puffins dream of warmer calmer days on Skomer Island speckled with campions?
