Older bloke from Nottingham. Politically closer to the left than the right. Likes (in no particular order) cats; roots reggae; woodworking; dad jokes. I'm very sociable unless you're a fascist. Proud MDant. #NFFC

I've coped so far, but Alan Carr might be my breaking point.

Yes, especially as it is heading for being 40 years old. Already bought and paid for by many licence fees over the years.

Farage said a convicted racist calling for migrants to burnt alive in hotels is free speech

He speaks freely criticising the Govt and making up lies about migrants

He hates the “cancel culture”

But he wants Gary Neville fired for having hit out at 'angry, middle-aged white men' dividing UK❗️🤷🏼‍♂️
Headline from the tabloid otherwise none as the telegraph, in which it says about phage saying that Gary Neville should be fired for free speech

I watched "Sweet as you are" the other night on BBC4 as part of their screen two celebrations. I'd never seen it before although it was first broadcast in 1988. While not perfect - a bit heavy on symbolism in places - it's still a terrific watch. m.imdb.com/title/tt0094...

Coronation Street - written by Leslie Duxbury (9th October 1978). Having heard glowing reports about Mr Garfield's healing hands, Mrs Walker consents to grant him an audience (she's a martyr to her bad back). The only snag is that she doesn't know he's only a lowly hospital porter ...

I'm trying to work out why there is a plank of wood which looks like a leftover from a failed IKEA assembly in the middle of the table.
