"There's a hole in my bucket, my bucket, my bucket, there's a hole in my bucket, my bucket. A-hole."

By adding a simple hyphen we can see that this is a complaint not an observation.

A year ago, we were on the cusp of turning many cancers into chronic rather than terminal diseases through immunotherapy and mRNA vaccines. Today, we're working through the curative qualities of a magical horse paste instead.

The Mirror clickbait on Facebook- nearly every comment is from people saying it was brilliant. Then when you read the actual article there are screenshots from a couple of posts on Twitter saying they didn’t like the fish eye cinematography. That’s hardly united in condemnation now, is it?

Reform is threatening Bangor University over a student society’s decision. The society isn’t Bangor University—but this is a neat preview of how a Reform government would work: public money for supporters only. Trump-style politics, UK edition.

Authoritarian reflex is already working just fine.👇

I take comfort in the fact that "Reform will close Welsh Universities because of Twitter drama" is actually a campaigning gift to Plaid for the 2026 Senedd Elections in plenty of places.

People work at universities, their kids go to them, and students buy things.

I used to think that @alicefraser.bsky.social ‘s podcast bit to intro her ads section, “because you can’t be what you can’t buy,” was just a joke like any other, but each time I hear it it’s more devastatingly true analysis of our *gestures* situation

Anyway I'll be writing to Reform later to demand that they let me speak at their conference on the main stage.

If they refuse me they'll be showing themselves to be enemies of free speech
