I post little reviews of media and reblog stuff. He/him, point n click enthusiast, PlayStation and Nintendo fanboy who plays most games on an Xbox 🏳️‍🌈 icon by @papergabe.bsky.social
I listened to a lot less music and a lot more Doctor Who this year 🤣

Game 82 - En Garde!: A fun if slight action game with a focus on environmental action. My only complaint is that I wish there was more of it, it was such a fun time. Would love to see a console port too.

@thegamecollection.bsky.social was the ps5 version of the Yakuza 20th Anniversary physical super limited? My order at another store was cancelled today (and I only tried to get it there because it was already out of stock with you guys back then). Is there any chance of a restock?

HiDive remains the only English anime streaming service you should give your money
Hey just so you know Amazon decided to give us an AI ENGLISH DUB of Banana Fish instead of actually hiring real voice actors
it is fucking hot garbage

I wish more game journalists would ask the Clair Obscur team how much AI they used and on what, because I definitely get the feeling it wasn’t just that one placeholder asset..

Game 81 - The Colonel’s Bequest: A top tier Sierra classic. The art is fantastic and it’s just such a unique experience. Anyone who’s interested in murder mysteries should give this a go if they can handle the admittedly dated feel of the interface.

Game 80 - Crowns and Pawns Kingdom of Deceit: A fun adventure game with some nice ideas regarding character customisation, I just wish they’d pushed the idea a little further. Choosing a job and having it change how you appproach puzzles is a great idea that could be expanded in a sequel.

Name a more iconic duo Doctor Who edition

@inklingwood.bsky.social is there a way to repeat conversations in Foolish Mortals?

Game 79 - The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD: Begrudingly, I think this game holds up a lot better than Wind Waker. Really very fun, but not without its frustrations, particularly in the opening hours of the game. Snowpeak Ruins is a particular highlight.

Game 78 - Super Mario 64: Also one of the best platformers ever made, this still holds up a lot better than you would expect. The unofficial 3DS port was a really fun way to reexperience this gem 🥰

Game 77 - Super Mario Galaxy: In an ideal world, I would have replayed this with a Wii controller somehow, but the remaster on Switch is basically perfect outside of the slightly awkward pointer. Still one of the best platformers ever made.

Please quote post a picture where you were completely happy, and nothing else mattered but that moment.

12 years ago I lost my mind, what an amazing surprise this was. Paul McGann took one line to prove he deserved waaaay more screen time than he ever get. Absoutely iconic.

I need to catch up on posting about the games I’ve played this year but the one I just finished, The Séance of Blake Manor, is going to be incredibly tough to beat as my game of the year so far. @spookydoorway.bsky.social did an absolutely exceptional job with it, a total 10/10 certified masterpiece

Jez Corden continues to be (seemingly unintentionally, unless this is like performance art) the funniest journalist in gaming. Sony “forced” Microsoft to abandon exclusives? Lol. Lmao even.

PlayStation forced Microsoft to give up Xbox exclusives — now it wants to destroy Xbox at cloud gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere cross-buy as well
PlayStation's new "Stream Your Own Game" feature has over a thousand titles, utterly destroying Xbox Cloud Gaming's "Stream Your Own Game" feature. Although, it is limited to a specific piece of PlayS...

Ragnar never misses, I loved the story and characters so much.
How can anyone NOT love our colourful, diverse, found-family, comic-book road-trip adventure? It's silly and wild and crazy ambitious; not perfect by any means, but it's heartfelt and soulful and made with a ton of love (and zero "agenda"). And Dustborn is SUPER cheap on Steam right now!

Game 76 - Persona 5 Royal: A fantastic JRPG, great characters, battle system and soundtrack. I still personally like P3 more but this is the game that really made the series popularity skyrocket. My one big criticism is there is a lot of time spent repeating information you already know.
October 17, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Game 75 - Resident Evil 3: Really good too, feels really responsive which is an odd thing to say about a game with tank controls. The additional movement options this game adds push it over the edge in terms of how it plays but RE2 is the better experience overall.
October 17, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Game 74 - Sonic The Hedgehog: Still a pretty decent time, but the level design as the game goes on begins to fall apart a little for me, and the final boss needing to be done without any rings is just cruel for no good reason. I wouldn’t call this a classic personally, but it’s almost there.
