I will never understand blasting their music or Tiktok(-likes) on their phone speakers while on public transit.
I don't even care if you're pumping my favorite songs, either use headphones or don't play your music and videos on the bus or train at all.

💙 As someone who's been playing shmups since she was 2 years old, I unfortunately don't have any good advice on how to attract new players to shmups. Classic shmups look too dull to them and bullet hell shooters are too superficially intimidating.
I'll keep saying this over & over - nobody got into shmups to play novice modes. They got into them because they saw Hibachi, Larsa, an Ikaruga double play or something like that. Devs gotta be confident & have a punk attitude & spend less time thinking about novices

Some modern STGs are conscious of possibly being anyone's first arcade scrolling shooter, and bend themselves into knots trying to be an entire genre tutorial before being their own identifiable game.

I'm gonna open a restaurant called World of Restaurants. The waitstaff will show tremendous dexterity but have no idea how the professional actually works. Then when they hand the bill they will explain that they conduct their duties with SaveStates. /j
ordered food here. the server did 7 frame-perfect turnarounds in a row and launched themselves through the door speeding past my table at 700km/h but the plate was perfect. 5 star service, would eat here again

I'm a gekichumai enjoyer and honestly I play way more credits of it than other rhythm games when I'm in Japan, but also I'm a relatively casual player so I don't get all the memes and discussion about higher-level charts, all I know is that Umiyuri Kaiteitan is a nightmare of alternating slides
