Like someone said in the comments in the link, The Coyotes aren't 'gone' they are an inactive franchise, and Utah is an expansion franchise. Jets 1.0 became the Coyotes, and so the Coyotes are the same franchise as 1.0 while 2.0 are the same as the OG Thrashers.

Like someone said in the comments in the link, The Coyotes aren't 'gone' they are an inactive franchise, and Utah is an expansion franchise. Jets 1.0 became the Coyotes, and so the Coyotes are the same franchise as 1.0 while 2.0 are the same as the OG Thrashers.
