The sheer scale of the underlying climate risk could, in the act of disclosure, have a material financial effect, whether driven by disbelief, investor flight to purportedly ‘safer’ assets, or some other mechanism. strategicclimaterisks.substack.com/p/are-we-in-...

Footage of #RisingTide champions locking on to coal equipment. We're still disrupting coal exports because Labor is failing to act on climate and failing to support workers. When governments fail to protect, the people will rise!

More actions this morning from the formidable @risingtideaus.bsky.social activists taking the fight for a liveable climate to the world's largest coal export port (in Australia, where PM @albomp.bsky.social last week signed the #BelemDeclaration to phase out Coal, Gas & Oil)

Fiona's community has (mostly) survived catastrophic bushfires and floods. Sixteen #RisingTide peaceful protesters have locked themselves onto coal loading equipment in Newcastle this morning. Civil disobedience is necessary when our governments fail to protect our climate ✊🏽💙

Paddling out at with mates @risingtideaus.bsky.social was fun but Nannas would rather be holding yarn than protest signs.

Get your socks on @albomp.bsky.social Show us Aussies your “pattern” to get off gas and coal and work together with us and workers to sew a better future.
