Yesterday, President Trump took to Truth Social to call on Washington, DC to change its laws to charge more children as adults.

Great piece on how research and data should be guiding youth justice transformation from two experts - Liz Ryan and Vincent Shiraldi www.governing.com/policy/why-a...
Why Are We Backsliding on Juvenile Justice?
Over recent decades we’ve moved toward a much more effective and humane system to deal with youth crime. Evidence and research, not hyperbole and hysteria, should be guiding today’s debate.

As a @umich.edu alum, what made my experience so amazing was the diversity on campus and that each of us, coming from different backgrounds and perspectives, was able to find a place. I strongly denounce these actions and the Alumni Association's decision to end the LEAD Scholars program.
- The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will close

- The DEI 2.0 Strategic Plan will be discontinued

- The decision to end the use of diversity statements in faculty hiring will be applied universitywide

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.
