Propaganda doesn't work by logic, it works by repeated exposure.

"Oh i know how uv rays work, I won't get sunburned" friends you will still get crispy
It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.

I think this guy picked up what Vance was implying by releasing that video much more than the press has.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

Me: This should be a cakewalk for crimdef attorneys, to tear apart reports and probable cause affidavits for being nothing but lies

Also me: WHAT THE FUCK THIS FUCKING SUCKS WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
Boggles the mind that the Colorado state PD office has bought into genAI transcription hype it legitimately frightens me as both someone sometimes in need of a public defender and a genAI safety trainer

U might as well just hire a cop to transcribe body cam footage!

This is a recurring problem in public defender offices prior to GenAI that is now *exploding*

Throwing cash at police tech vendors bc you don't have $ to keep pace with the police tech arms race isn't a sustainable strategy and is likely to produced police-biased outcomes

what to do instead? IDK

BREAKING: police sergeant indicates police staffing can be cut 20% with no change in service
"Despite the drawbacks, police sergeant Rick Keel told Fox 13 that the tool is saving him “six to eight hours weekly now. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, so it’s very user-friendly,” he added."

I'm in my mid-50s. I started organizing against the violence of policing when I was a teenager. I've heard ALL of the so-called "reform" proposals. They are the SAME ONES that liberals are offering in 2026. Cops have never killed more people in my lifetime.

Gotta do something different.

Vance's conduct this week is obviously impeachable. I'm talking about his public conduct. Whatever private murder coverup he's participating in is what you find out once you start impeachment.

It's worth asking ourselves why DHS policies are worse than DOJ! Why should ICE have fewer rules than FBI? Why has no one cared about this for a decade-plus even during use of force conversations?

(Answer: bc until now DHS agencies were mostly abusing and killing noncitizens, out of view)

One thing that's really hard for people, even attorneys, to wrap their heads around is exactly how bad DHS and its subagencies are, from structure to culture to "court" to policy
That's DOJ.

No DHS use of force policy I've seen, including under Biden, has this (very reasonable) language about moving out of the path.
Current DOJ use of force policy states that even if the ICE officer did what Trump, Vance and others are claiming he did, that's still not allowed. From the policy here: www.justice.gov/archives/ag/...

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

One of the reasons we have such an established, thorough record of the lies ICE, Bovino, and DHS told about alleged aggression from protesters and observers in Chicago is that a group of protesters and media orgs sued ICE. Continuously grateful for the people and lawyers who waged that fight.

(brave voice) I think it's completely fine for most people, most of the time, to say "ICE" even if another entity is involved

yes DHS, Border Patrol, etc are awful and accuracy is important

but, e.g., Bovino has said BP can pull people out of cars beyond the 100-mi zone bc they're acting as ICE
