Here is the heart of the Utah judge’s ruling.

Our corrupt Republican legislature—also the most sanctimonious, ignorant and money-grubbing greedheads this side of Kabul—carved up the vibrant, beating center of the Beehive state’s economic miracle to make sure SLC voters don’t have a voice

That big Ukrainian attack this morning -- hundreds of drones launching from wooden sheds with retractable roofs that were secretly positioned over a year and a half -- is straight out of Mission: Impossible. I love it.

I would actually peg the start of the decline much earlier... with 9/11, the PATRIOT Act, and Americans collectively shrugging at the atrocities of Abu Ghraib and Gitmo. It's only accelerated in recent years.
The decline of the United States and its exceptionalism began in 2025, when the Constitution was replaced with the manifesto of the party now controlling our destiny. Since taking power, the nation has slid toward autocracy, trading morality for dictatorship, intimidation, and extortion.

Of all the crazy bullshit coming from the regime, this is the craziest and most horrifying. RFK Jr MUST be stopped from implementing his asinine eugenicist plans.
RFKJ is saying that all “new vaccines” should be tested in clinical trials. Specifically, placebo trials (where the comparison group gets a “sugar pill”). It sounds reasonable to test new vaccines right? Well here’s the issue with this approach:

That tracks, as normal decent people genuinely do not understand the thought processes of MAGA.
A consistent trend of Trump & his coterie is they're so thoroughly and amoral that they genuinely do not understand the thought processes of normal people with consciences.
Disgusting, yes, but don’t miss how weak it is.

These fascists expected to ride a popular wave of mass deportation, but only a few months in they’re facing mounting revulsion at their illegality, cruelty, and rejection of innocent-until-proven-guilty, and down to smaller-scale scapegoat reminders.

The assholes simply will NOT admit a defeat. And it's "Democratic."

Republicans love being assholes for the sake of being assholes.
This is a United States Senator

MACK: I was laid off from HHS and now people aren’t getting social services, especially people with disabilities

BANKS: You probably deserved it

MACK: Why did I deserve it?

BANKS: Because you look like a clown

Val Kilmer was technically too old to be considered Gen X. But nevertheless he was one of ours.

Booker, just minutes away from the speaking record: "This is when the most precious ideas of our country are being tested, where the Constitution and the question is being called -- Where does the constitution live? On paper? Or in our hearts? This is the moment."

Incredible. History before our eyes.
And there it is. Senator Cory Booker makes history-- the longest standing filibuster in US history at 24 hours 19 minutes and counting.

Good trouble.

Hero.
New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker shows no signs of slowing down after speaking for more than 14 hours on the Senate floor, taking aim at President Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE.

Can we permanently put to rest the myth that a businessman knows more how to manage the economy? Or do we have to wait for our economy’s collapse for some among us to grasp it?

Senators Cory Booker and Chris Murphy are doing an old-school filibuster as I type, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Go, Senators!

I find I'm as angry with the nihilists who say nothing matters and the defeatists who say it's hopeless as I am with the fascists. Anyone else?

I'm an elder Gen X. Unconventional hair was kind of our thing when I was a teen, and I personally have never conformed with the local norm (I have long hair in Mormon Utah). I find this utterly repellent at a basic molecular level.
We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at.

A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth.

HAIRCUTS.

This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.
GOP bill could ban hairdressers from giving gender-nonconforming haircuts to minors - LGBTQ Nation
The bill would allow anyone to sue someone who affirms a young person's transition, and it specifically mentions hairstyles.

Why does Trump want to sicken or kill babies?
The Trump administration just shut down a food safety committee to prevent bacteria in baby formula.

They are also threatening to fire employees who prevent deli meat from being infected with Listeria and applesauce from being laced with lead.

Freedom for them, not for us. Tax the rich, already.
When oligarchs talk of “personal liberties and free markets” they mean their own liberties to become even richer and more powerful.

When oligarchs speak of “freedom,” what they actually seek is freedom from accountability.

Know the truth.

Yep, exactly. Increase revenue.

@USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?”
