Our chair, Evelyn Asante-Mensah OBE, led this brilliant event to inspire Black and ethnic minority colleagues into leadership.

The #BlackHistoryMonth theme - Standing Firm in Power & Pride - is another good opportunity to celebrate our Black colleagues, who make up nearly 10% of the NHS workforce.

Getting your flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and the people most at risk from flu this winter.

Many of our #PennineCarePeople are already doing their bit to stop the spread of flu, and to stay healthy for those who need us most this winter.

October is #HealthLiteracy Month.

Health literacy empowers people to understand and act on health information, it facilitates informed decision making. Allows for safe, and equitable care.

A blue themed picture shows a miniature man and woman amongst clinical support things like a stethoscope, books, e-reader to represent the need for interaction and literacy in medicine. A headline reads October is health literacy month then you are asked to get involved and learn more because it matters.

My five year old wrote me some 'clues' about a special person she's been learning about at school for Black History Month. Can you guess who she is describing? The answer will be later today!
In child's handwriting, a piece of paper says: In 1955 she moved to the united kingdom, where she started Britain's first major newspaper for the black community. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago and then, she moved to America. the newspaper was called West indian gazette. She started a parade in london. she was antiracist her middle name was Vera.
