No AI. Human Stupidity only.
That was a very stupid topic in Belgium.

The government introduced the 4-day work week, but in the sense that the 5th day gets spread over the remaining 4. Which means NOBODY takes it and companies have the sense to discourage it because working 10 hours a day has the opposite effect.

Btw it was probably a safer bet to watch the Persona 4 anime first, because looking anything up without massive spoilers for this game is impossible.

And of course the Google AI blurb is the worst of it.

This is my favourite screenshot from the game.

With every game I play, I keep thinking back to Deus Ex, and the lessons that weren't learned.

Deus Ex has no minimap, no objective markers; it drops you into an environment and tells you to find something or someone.

Which forces you to engage with the world, and to think, to deduce.

One of the books I'm currently reading is Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Høeg (because it's referenced in Deus Ex), which is about a woman from Greenland in Denmark.

It's really not helping my current mood, or opinion on this treasonous potato's imperial ambitions.

Played BloodRayne again this weekend (and finally beat the final boss).

I appreciate the choice of making the Nazis basically the weakest enemy type to the point where they count as cowardly health packs.

I beat this problem by having no clue how these games are supposed to be played while my territories keep getting invaded by Harald Bluetooth and my daughter is stark raving mad.

Remember how these fucking idiots think soy milk makes you into a weak liberal because of some plant-based hormone that mimics estrogen, but then never ask what kind of hormones are in milk that's actually from a female mammal?

Nah, that they want to drink raw with unfiltered literal cow shit.

You know what the funny part is? ICE is everything MAGA thinks what companies embrace DEI is—an agency full of the most dangerously untrained and undisciplined buffoons.

Generally I like cold weather better than warm weather, but once it gets too cold my hands get fucked up. 🥶

Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian stories are so funny.

There's all these naked women running around, but then every story Conan practically turns to the reader to lecture about the importance of consent to the point where the one time he doesn't it's considered wildly out of character.

2022 must have been Kingdom Hearts and nothing else.

The only job this melted stick of butter was ever qualified for was waxing George McFly's car.

If the characters were at least likeable in any way I might have put more effort into figuring out what the hell the text was trying to describe.

I suppose you just have to vibe with the "aesthetic". I was mostly just glad to be through with it.

Can't fault them for resorting to fanfiction to resolve this.

Why the fuck did the Duffers think it was a good idea to take 2 bloody hours to do nothing except get rid of a villain that only existed since last season, while inexplicably revealing that he wasn't ever even in charge.

The US never had to deal with the consequences of the World Wars, only getting to reap the benefits thanks to its distant location relative to the rest of the world, so it never had to learn its lessons. Now the country is paying the price for running a society on wartime propaganda for 80 years.

Vlaamse TV is tegenwoordig ook veel te gretig om AI slop in hun programma's te steken. Als land van de strip vind ik dat toch extra schandalig. Ziet er echt goedkoop en zielig uit.

I have a massive backlog of games and movies, and I just learned last year that Dutch historical fiction (and even some fantasy) is really good. So I'll be doing that while further reducing money streams that might be going to the US. ✌️
