Happy #LetterboxdFriday!

Godfather III - not as bad as anticipated

No Other Choice - Thoroughly enjoyed this blackly comic satire

Awakenings - Robin Williams is great in this drama, that has both lightness and shade

The Juniper Tree - Bergman filtered through A Grimm Brothers tale.

Really struggled to motivate myself to get out for run this month, but was good to do a 5k this evening.

As I hope you already know, there's a new Springsteen song called "Streets of Minneapolis." I'm going on my fifth listen myself. If it's your first, you may well be saddened but you won't be sorry.

Any other recommendations?

Happy #LetterboxdFriday

Just the two this week.

The Bone Temple - a lot I really loved here, but never had the same emotional pull as the last one.

Jacob's Ladder - a bit too messy and the ending I disliked. Great concept though.

Honestly, absolutely obsessed with this album right now. Ethereal, haunting, beautiful.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday!

This week, I was mostly in the mood for fun nonsense. Miller's Crossing was great, even if I felt a bit distanced from it...

Something I was pretty bad at last year was cooking new recipes. Hopefully this year I can change that.

Either way, my first attempt at a chicken pathia and this was pretty great.

(Tadka Dhal - supermarket bought)

I've made a number of changes recently to my overall rankings of everything I managed to watch that was released in the UK in 2025 and I'm happy with the rankings.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday!

First of the year, and quite a few watched.

The highlight probably being Sentimental Value, though Train Dreams ran it close.
