Tyranomon is just cool lmao. I always low-key prefered him to Greymon for some reason

he's supposed to be a great Digimon for "beginner Tamers" and wish that fact led to him having more substantial appearances, cause he's a cool dood and Greymon needs a vacation or something

one of my favorite water-themed Adult Level Digimon - I've long given up getting to have one in a modern game though... they seem FULLY forgotten by this point 🥲

just such an awesome design; clean and simple but with that little bit of edge that made early Digimon stand out

a fairly recent discovery on my part, I absolutely love Luxmon's design - in part due to the fact that it heeeeavily reminds me of an OC Digimon I had as a kid.

I just think it's an excellent addition to the Angel types - and really hope we see more of it soon

Hagurumon is one of many under-appreciated Child Level Digimon I really love, though luckily it has at least featured more or less consistently in the recent video games

was VERY happy to see it be a "Starter" in Cyber Sleuth... only to be a bit disappointed by how meaningless that fact really was

my fave little water imp, Shakomon is another design that blends creepy and cute together in a very satisfying way

when I was a kid I was really into playing exclusively with Water Pokemon, and remember being sad that Digimon didn't have many water types... so discovering Shakomon was a nice moment

it might just be the contrarian in me, but Shakkoumon has always been my favorite of 02's Perfects - besides just being a really aesthetically pleasing design, it struck a perfect balance between the unconventional nature of earlier evolutions, and the more visually cohesive routes of the anime

unironically adore most of the "filth tribe" Digimon, but there's something about Numemon in particular that just feels too iconic to not like - just such a great design that really captures that goofy 90s energy that was such a big part of the original V-Pet's DNA

he's just such a cool design, and so unmistakeably Digimon - over the years I think a lot of designs can be a bit too Pokemon-ish or Gundam-ish, but this particular brank of punky goth shit? it just screams Digimon to me, in the best way

speaking of which, it's the gay awakening herself: Angewomon. I remember have the episode she debuted in recorded on VHS and I would just rewind and rewatch her evolution over and over again

love the whole Lopmon line, but Turuiemon in particular always stood out to me as a cool one who deserved way more than just an appearance in the D-Power and Card Game... so y'all can bet I was ecstatic when it appeared in Cyber Sleuth, Next Order AND Survive one after the other 😊

Lilimon was another one I was obsessed with as a kid. during the early days of the internet (before Fandom came and sucked the soul out of everything), I used to be really into exploring fan sites, and I distinctly remember one called "Lilymon's Garden" that I visited way too much lmao

another early favourite was Floramon. as a kid I always assumed partners were unique to each Digidestined, so I "knew" MINE couldn't be one of the main 8.... but I really wanted a Palmon 😅

Floramon was the next best thing, and I'm consistently bitter it wasn't in the latest World/Story games

one of my oldest faves, I remember coming across him early on in a magazine that had "the scoop" on the Mega evolutions for the whole Adventure cast; with MarineAngemon being the choice for Gomamon, and was immediately obsessed with the cute little bean

Dragon Age took everything I loved about Baldur's Gate (and D&D in general), and gave it a fresh coat of paint, with some of the best-written characters I've seen in a game, and an insane level of replayability

I have high hopes for Veilguard, but doubtful it'll dethrone Dragon Age in my heart

Kingdom Hearts is one of the first games I ever completed as a kid... and when I tell you I CRIED at that ending!

later games in the series may have done a lot to expand the world and polish the mechanics, but there's something about the first one that makes me always love it the most
