Yes, your chocolate orange IS smaller - and it's because impacts driven by climate change, at home and around the world, are driving up the prices of ingredients: cocoa, sugar and milk in particular.

A Chocolate Orange has doubled in price – and got smaller. Why?
From Quality Street to Toblerone to the Terry’s classic, festive treats are becoming more of a luxury – and it’s not just down to the price of cocoa

Just submitted Pinwheel's response to the SBTi Net Zero Standard 2.0 consultation. Is it Christmas yet? Can I take a break now, please? 😥

UK EV drivers save £540 more on running costs than those in Germany.

Why? Combo of smart meters + flexible tariffs is now widespread in the UK but in its infancy in Germany.

I suspect the real reason Nigel Farage is getting so rattled by the racism allegations is that:

1) He knows he said all these things so can't properly deny them
2) He knows that he carried on saying them well into adulthood

I really don't get the approach to facing Starc. Why not see him off? Big drives to him feels so silly. There's big scores to be made if Starc doesn't get 5+ wickets every innings.

Why is Brooke playing that shot to Starc? See him off, for goodness sake.

This is powerful reporting of a hidden crisis in our society. Adoption support is severely lacking and social workers dangerously over stretched. I was surprised the incidents of breakdown weren’t even higher, given how tough caring for traumatised children is.

Parents threatened by authorities as 1,000 adopted children returned to care
Families seeking help for their children’s complex needs describe threats of police action against them.

Still no better heuristic for revealing a politician or public figure's deep unseriousness than checking whether or not they are a climate sceptic.
The so-called “Global Warming Policy Foundation”, generally recognised as a #ClimateDenial lobby group, has Lord #Glasman giving its annual lecture…..

COP outcome is a damp squib and England made a mess of the first test, but Watford won away from 2-0 down so, on balance, calling it a successful day.

This has been obvious to anyone paying attention for a long time, but renewables and electrification are destroying a lot of fossil fuel demand and will continue to do so.

And let's be clear, the Tories would not do the same. I vividly remember the massacre of Labour public appointments during the Coalition years, going down to even the most minor and niche posts.
Robbie Gibb issue is just one case where Labour has left in place people appointed by the Tories : Arif Ahmed at OfS, Kishwer and Reindorf at EHRC. Real self-sabotage.
