Making progress, particularly around finalizing and templating the controlsets needed for the container block, which is intended to be one of the most flexible, multipurpose blocks in Method v2's initial release. #WordPress

I should have been more adverse to installing the mobile beta, but I did (incorrectly) believe I was installing a public beta (forgot I was added to a paid dev account, so installed dev beta 1) and only did so that I could competently complain about Liquid Glass, which has actually been pretty nice.

IMO, one of the highest-ROI changes that WordPress could implement in v6.9 for fostering block editor ecosystem stability would be to finalize the UnitControl component as is. It’s to useful to omit from my projects, but that __experimental prefix sure triggers some anxiety. #wordpress

The current round of Apple OS betas have seemed shockingly stable, at least for iOS and tvOS. tvOS actually fixed a longstanding issue with the remote. Still not willing to roll the dice on macOS though. Phone app crashes are annoying. Local dev environment crashes are money.

Method v2 is coming together. Just… slowly. Templated control set components and responsive styles API and pretty much squared away on the block editor side. PHP libraries for the frontend are still in progress. #wordpress

Installing iOS betas from a waiting room, because I just don’t care anymore.

i stopped wearing red crosses more than a decade ago, because police *habitually* target medics.

this isn’t a one-off, it’s a deliberate choice they make over and over again.

it’s not “a few bad apples,” it’s widespread practice.
I was a medic at the Santa Ana protests in OC today.

I watched police fire tear gas, flash bangs, & rubber bullets into crowds of men, women, & children.

Other medics and I were clearly marked with red crosses, and the police were targeting us.

One of the most fucked up things I’ve ever seen.

Damn, now I have to renew Fallout 1st so I can get back on (and move…all of my hoarding tendencies are channeled into that game)

Shotguns are so fun…been a while since I’ve been on, but my favorite character jet packed around with a gauss shotgun and damn did it feel good.

Don’t get me wrong…a ban by itself would be a dystopian nightmare and be in line with a surge in pro-authoritarianism, and against my beliefs (I’m a z-list performer). I just think other interests are going to try pushing it for reasons that are less clear and have nothing to do with morality.

I’d almost be more worried about trade orgs with deep pockets that have strong anti piracy sentiment (RIAA, MPAA, etc). A ban would eventually be overturned, but the enforcement mechanisms it would leave behind (VPN restrictions, etc) would be their wet dream, possibly enough to quietly support.

Hello, I would like to file a police report. My own actions, namely running a 5k in the afternoon during summer in Alabama, attempted to murder me.

We’ve found ourselves in an environment where everyone is angry and, especially with one particular political party, acting on whatever impulses provide brief relief, all without any utilization of critical thought or attention to downstream impact. No room for nuanced or inconvenient thought.

Based on the fact that my Mac Mini was suddenly powered off overnight and that the wireless keyboard’s battery is suddenly exhausted, pretty sure one of my cats figured out a brute-force exploit for MacOS while I was sleeping.

Apparently this one has some justification…saw a bunch of YouTube videos a while back talking about how unaccompanied tweens are terrorizing Sephora stores by destroying/contaminating/combining all the samples, trying to recreate influencer looks and trends. Still seems problematic.

Elon needs to read Hot Zone and then try spewing that BS. And no, I mean actually read it, not pay someone else to do it for him. This isn’t a Path of Exile character.
