Hi! I'm a board game designer in SLC. I'm obsessed with polyominoes and spatial games. I also feature a different board game every week and make a little doodle about it!

So delighted with all of the animation flourishes in Silksong. The little ants carrying away their dead, the way Hornet spins after jumping, the flying bugs after running through a field.
And it feels so acrobatic! Each fight is a dance and you can attack from so many angles. Incredible work.

Kariba is the Game of the Week! These blocky buddies are crowding around the watering hole, chasing each other away with larger numbers. 64 cards, 8 each of numbers 1-8. Super simple, but timing is a jungle!

Designers who have had games republished by different publishers, how did you make that happen? How did your pitch change from your unpublished work?
So it looks like I'm getting the rights for The Grand Carnival and the On the Road expansion back. Anybody want to publish them? Rüdiger Dorn sure likes it!

It's a S'mores Toastie and I got it from a cookbook. So it's actually cool and normal for me to eat.

Watched Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, had a pretty great time, but was baffled by the performance from Praetorian Jack. Just an empty hole in the center of an otherwise energetic and engaging movie.

The Game: Face to Face is the Game of the Week! Only one of you is getting out of here alive, but you need to help your opponent in order to help yourself. What a cool twist on The Game! Now it just needs a clown mannequin posed as my dead father in my driveway and we're set!

Ordered a game and was very excited about it. While reading the rulebook, I found out AI was used to make the art. All of that excitement turned to disgust so quickly, it was wild. Cancelled my order, can't argue with that gut reaction!
