I went to the opening night of the new Hitchhiker’s stage adaptation and I can confirm it’s ill-considered in every sense of the word. I loved it! The performers were giving everything they got. Move over Punchdrunk, your time is over.

I LOVED this piece on the optometrist by Kate and all the eye-based allegories. It got me thinking about Ruskin's 'innocent eye' and furore it subsequently incited in the art history world. Or the eye in Un Chien Andalou, a scene from a 1929 film that I still believe to be the apex of body horror.

A lot of us were hoping that this new government would understand the carbon agenda but this is not a good first sign. Hopefully, it’s just one decision and that future calls for retrofit might go the other way. www.architectsjournal.co.uk/news/ms-oxfo...
