Week in Review: From Chicago Heights to Ogle County to Lake County and back to Chicago, the support has been amazing. I’m working hard to be your next U.S. Senator, and the conversations across Illinois keep fueling this fight.

Donald Trump, you are not a king. You don't get to threaten and bully people who disagree with you - especially brave patriots who took an oath to defend and protect our country while you were dodging the draft and cheating on your taxes.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

Today, and every day, we remember the victims and survivors of anti-transgender hate crimes. Trans rights are human rights. #TransDayOfRemembrance #TransAwarenessWeek

While Trump urges business owners to oppose wage increases, I’m committed to raising the minimum wage to $17 an hour by 2030. Because People Over Profits isn’t a slogan—it’s the reason I’m running for the U.S. Senate.

Today I voted to bring the Epstein records fully into the light. Survivors have waited too long for truth and justice, and the American people deserve complete transparency. Secrecy protects abusers—not victims. I will always confront the powerful and demand real accountability.

As I work to earn your vote for the U.S. Senate, I sat down to answer questions from Illinois voters. These conversations fuel this campaign.

Tonight I shared my People Over Profits platform with the Lake County Democrats and thanked the incredible north suburban neighbors who hit the doors and passed petitions for me. I’m running for Senate to fight for you in every corner of Illinois.

Finished the day at the HRC Chicago Annual Dinner, proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community. From creating my LGBTQ+ Task Force to fighting discrimination and defending equality, I’m ready to bring this commitment to the United States Senate.

Taking my Senate campaign to every corner of Illinois matters. At today's second stop, the Ogle County Democrats Meet & Greet, I shared my People Over Profits platform and heard directly from Democrats in northwestern Illinois. Grateful for the conversation!

Started the morning with the Black McDonald’s Operators Association at their turkey giveaway. Food is medicine—and that’s why I introduced the FOOD for Health Act. I’ll take that fight to the Senate so every family gets the healthy food they deserve.

“It’s one thing to be a fighter, but you’ve got to be a winner too. You can’t just fight. You have to have things to show for it,” she said, touting her ability to work across the political aisle.

In our inaugural Week in Review, it’s clear Illinois is fired up! Another great week on the trail to be your next U.S. Senator. People want a fighter and a winner. I’ve delivered for Illinois, and I’m ready to keep going. See you on the trail!

The Republican shut down was never about you. While we've been fighting to protect your health care, they have been fighting to hide a million dollar giveaway to 8 Senators.

It's unconscionable, and we won't stop fighting against their greed to protect your care.

House Republicans push vote to reverse provision allowing senators to sue over phone records
They won’t be able to strip it from the bipartisan funding package, though.

I just voted HELL NO on the sham of a shutdown deal. I’m not shocked by the GOP but am deeply disappointed in my Senate colleagues who bought into this nonsense. This so-called deal to end King Trump’s shutdown still doesn’t address our nation’s healthcare crisis. Hell no!

Pleasure to join the Julie Mason Show again to discuss the day’s issues and my Senate campaign: I’m a hell no on the shutdown deal and ICE needs to go home!

World’s worst-kept secret.

“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn't barked is Trump," Epstein wrote in a typo-riddled message to Maxwell in April 2011. "[Victim] spent hours at my house with him . . . he has never once been mentioned."

Heading back to DC to vote HELL NO — because every American deserves affordable health care. We must extend ACA tax credits and lower costs for working families. This is my fight in the House, and it’s why I’m running for the Senate.

Thank you to the Leaders Network for a powerful discussion today in East Garfield Park. Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson’s courage in the face of ICE pressure is a reminder of the strength in our communities. Grateful for Pastor Cy Fields’ guidance in trying times.

Happy Veterans Day. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve. Your sacrifice reminds us that freedom is not free. We honor your courage today and every day.

Thanks to the Harvard Club of Chicago for a great discussion on the issues affecting all of us. I believe the fight ahead is about affordability and putting people over profits and political games.
November 11, 2025 at 3:31 AM
Show me your budget, I'll show you your values.

Donald Trump has spent weeks telling you he'd rather pay for golden toilets and ballrooms than SNAP benefits and health care subsidies.

And he wants to use your money to pay for it.

I am hopeful Senate Democrats will hold the line against the cruelty and lies of the Trump administration. I am prepared to stand with House Democrats and fight for the American people.
November 10, 2025 at 12:05 AM
As per usual Donald Trump LIED, costs are not down & it’s absolutely ridiculous for him to continue gaslighting the American people!
