Towards the end of 2025, I found out that one of my images had been selected as one of the final 12 for the 2026 BBC Countryfile calendar. It is one of my massed Dragonflies at dawn. What an amazing privilege given the high quality images submitted to this competition.

Extraordinary sight this morning as I watched a large Otter cross the road at a level crossing before disappearing into the River Tone which the railway line also crosses. Seemed content feeding in the flooded river.

I was so busy watching that I didn't take any pictures!
