Out kayaking today behind Round Island when one of the group shouted “Eagle”, but no it was two buzzards. Two minutes late another shout of “That’s an Eagle”, but no a Marsh Harrier. Two minutes later treated by a low flyover of a WTE mobbed by a Herring Gull @harbourbirds.bsky.social

Water Rail are regular night migrants over Poole & the Asda Peregrines often take advantage of the light pollution & catch them at night. The remains are often blown off the feeding ledge on the Asda flats during strong winds giving a great insight into recent food items @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social
