Actually a very good question. Because of annoying fiddly technical reasons, some people still hit the paywall when they try to read Alphaville, not the reg wall, so some articles we make completely free so that there is no registration or paywall whatsoever.

Why are people getting excited about the “Nobels”? Everyone knows that the only REAL one is the Sveriges @riksbank.se Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. The others are just self-aggrandising PR set up by Nobel himself.
