Re fare evasion: taller barriers would be costly and pointless. Waiting at the tube the other day I saw about 10 people in a 5 min period push through the wider accessibility gate. No-one jumped.

Re fare evasion: taller barriers would be costly and pointless. Waiting at the tube the other day I saw about 10 people in a 5 min period push through the wider accessibility gate. No-one jumped.

1) Incr income tax.
Pro: Works, can be explained, markets ✓, mortgage costs ↓.
Con: Take a lot of heat for breaking election promise
2) Itty bitty tax changes
Pro: keeps promise.
Con: Everyone hates it, markets hate it, doesn't fill fiscal gaps.
Guess what?

And this polling was done *before* the Reform MP Pochin said something that is unambiguously racist about people in adverts.
A majority of voters, and a plurality of white voters, think that Reform is a racist party with racist policies.

RE LIVERPOOL: No team has won the Premier League in last 30 years with more than 6 losses. So to retain the title after losing 4 in a row, LFC will have to go on one hell of an almost-unbeaten run over the next 29 games. Not seeing it.
