Need some repairs done to the house - had an appointment arranged with a local tradesman to come and quote, but have just cancelled.

OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.

Perhaps, we are seeing one of the downsides to having a drunk TV talk show chatterbox running our military.

It's not clear from the piece whether they specifically mean petrol/diesel SUVs. There are electric SUVs that obviously don't have "increased emissions" but would be the same size/weight which the article argues is the issue.
