Our government is getting more homes built for Canadians. Yesterday, Minister @gregorrobertson.bsky.social announced funding, in coordination with the City of Toronto, to create the necessary infrastructure to kickstart the construction of 63,000 new homes. This is building Canada strong. 🇨🇦

Yesterday, I hosted a farewell luncheon for the Ambassador of Thailand, Kallayana Vipattipumiprates. His dedication to growing the Canada-Thailand relationship has been exemplary. Canada will continue to work with Thailand and ASEAN as we strengthen our ties to the region.

It’s a day to reflect on Canada’s history, listen to Indigenous voices, and recommit ourselves to the ongoing work of reconciliation.

On Monday, I joined Minister Anita Anand and Arab members of the diplomatic corps to discuss how our countries can work together to bring peace and security to the Middle East. Canada will continue to collaborate with its partners to find diplomatic, humanitarian solutions.

Our new government is getting big things built faster, especially in the energy sector. The first wave of projects has been referred to the Major Projects Office. This is how we protect Canada’s economic sovereignty and build the strongest economy in the G7.

Our government is building One Canadian Economy — not thirteen. Federal barriers to free trade have come down and nation-building projects are set to be finished much faster. A strong, unified economy benefits all Canadians.

Earlier this year I was proud to announce Canada’s first ever Africa Strategy. Today, I attended Africa Accelerating 2025 to speak about how we are using the strategy to enhance our partnerships with Africa, particularly as we diversify and reimagine trade.
