I like to think of myself as a rational Phillies fan.

It’s completely fine to be optimistic that they’ll win tonight. They’re a good team, one of the 3-4 best in baseball, that is having a bad week.

It’s also fine to be furious with them for having that bad week right now

For the past two years or so all of the safe spaces (work, shul, home) don’t feel safe anymore so hell yeah let’s go out to bars and subways and stay out late and yell at sports at least I’ll know what I’m getting myself into. Is how I feel and about all I have to say tonight.

We dropped one game to the Dodgers...it wasn't pretty, but it wasn't a blowout. And they're a good team! That why it's postseason! And I'm bummed the Eagles aren't undefeated anymore but WOW HEY BLESSINGS what a problem to have. And maybe this will light a fire under them to show up for two whole halves.

We did not fight and die in the mud through the Buddy Ryan and Rich Kotite years and the late 90s Phillies just to become spoiled. We are not the Cowboys or the Yankees. Buck up.

That said, if we drop Game 2, I'm walking into traffic. Good day.
