This is not the post I thought I'd be writing today but as of this morning my position has been eliminated and I was laid off from the National Audubon Society so if you're looking for someone who has a lot of experience writing to help make the world a better place: hi.
The next time the Eagles play I will be there in person and ambivalent is a nice word for how I feel about that.

I have had a whirlypop for 20 years. It rules. I say this as somebody who loves popcorn so much that I will consume whatever size receptacle you give to me. The whirlypop also makes for a satisfyingly large snack that does not tip into the realm of gluttony. Whirlypop forever.
WHIRLEYPOP!!!!!!!!!!!$!
What's the best thing you bought this year for under $100?

One of the funniest bits of the 21st century is Jack White being the guy who wrote the song that will be played at full volume at every football game as long as the sport exists.

Friends, this is what “commitment to the bit“ looks like, and what we should all aspire to.

don’t listen to the naysayers, you can “happy thanksgiving” your way back into her life if you just add the right combination of turkey and fall leaf emojis. I believe in you.

Politics, football and movies are among the many topics that tend to come up around Thanksgiving.

In 2025, a new question may arise at the table: Why the heck is everyone talking about AI, and what should I know about it? https://cnn.it/48i1z4p

Marjorie Taylor Greene managed to tolerate being subjected to the sort of abuse, that she has subjected trans people to for years, for approximately one week.

I am rarely as ruthless as I am when I have to take NJ Transit with a bunch of presents, a giant backpack, and a bunny rabbit. Gotta get that solo seat with the luggage bin on the top level. It’s clutch as hell.

"Trump clearly loves Zohran" is going to be the funniest recurring subplot over the next few years.
Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

If you're in Brooklyn, I'll be discussing my new book tomorrow with @hanner.bsky.social at the great indy bookstore Taylor & Co. Books in Ditmas Park. It starts at 7:30pm.

Plus! On Thursday I'll be at the Hoboken Library, and on Saturday at the Montauk Library. Links to those in the comments.

Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Until my editors at Harper Collins completely disappeared and stopped work on my manuscript, forcing me to pull it.
