Just a few things about me.
•I'm a film critic, anime lover, podcast guest, and massive horror fan.
•The little scamp in pic 1 is Eddie. He's very photogenic and greedy.
•Pic 2 is a checklist that I'm working through gifted by my fiancee. The majority not scratched off are waiting for rewatches.

Another square scratched off, and I watched KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE. I enjoyed the commitment to the bit and had fun with the zany tone, but it did wear thin on me and left the film outstaying its welcome.

2025 has been a fantastic year for horror, given us outstanding genre entries that highlight the many unique voices propelling horror forward.

On an unrelated note, THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 2 is rubbish. A middle chapter of a trilogy that is a frustratingly elongated and tiresome chase. Boar-ing!
The poster for The Strangers Chapter 2, which focuses on the right hand of a barely seen woman. In the hand, she holds the mask of Pin-Up Girl (a character from the film), and a bloody knife. Reflected in the knife is the worried face of Madeline Petsch, the lead of this film.

Rewatching THE WIZARD OF OZ conjures the words Movie Magic in my mind. This gorgeous work is what cinema is all about. Whoever had the idea to mess with it using A.I. for viewing in a sphere has the media literacy skills of a potato.

Turned my evening into a Stephen King double-bill by rewatching THE SHINING (as part of my Hooptober challenge).
It remains as creepy and unsettling as ever, but I also want a number for Dick Halloran's interior decorator.
A scratched off square entitled The Shining, which shows a bloody axe outside of Room 237.

THE LONG WALK is a favourite book of mine, so I am thankful for how good the feature adaptation is. A blistering dystopia that builds believable friendships with a powerhouse cast while never forgetting the bleak scenario, ready to tear these lives apart in unforgiving ways. What a film!

This Mattie Lubchansky comic seems topical again.
A four-panel comic.

Panel 1: A guy looks in on a lady who's crying and says, "Hey, is everything okay?"

She replies, "It's just... the Bone Farmer... he died."

Panel 2: He: "He was that thing that would break into people's homes and steal their skeletons while they slept, right?"

She: "So sad."

Panel 3: They are looking at a picture of what I would describe as an interdimensional monster with way too many eyes and teeth. And a bowtie.

She: "I mean obviously: IDEOLOGICALLY I didn't agree with him. With regards to skeleton ownership. But his smart li'l bowtie!"

He: "You have to admire his tenacity for a cause he BELIEVED IN!"

Panel 4: A man in a gigantic glass jar whose body appears to be pretty much just a shapeless lump resting on the bottom of it, obviously missing a skeleton: "Gonna have to disagree with you folks here."

The first guy: "Too SOON, Geoff!"
