When student loan repayments bring in over three times more revenue than the petroleum resources rent tax (PRRT), it’s clear the system is broken.
I welcome the govt’s 20% HECS cut, but there’s much more to do. Degrees are still too expensive, and this cut doesn’t help students starting this year.

Putin has for 12 years been doing to the global order what Trump is doing to the American Republic: employ brutal force to destroy systems which are designed to ensure peace and improve people's lives. Neither the global order nor the US republic was perfect, but they were better than this.

Trump is even worse than Chamberlain was in 1938. Chamberlain never sympathized with Nazi Germany, he was just too afraid of the consequences of another world war.
Trump is not afraid of war with Russia, he just likes sucking up to Putin because he sympathizes with Russian ultranationalism.
