I'm very pleased to announce that my debut feature documentary, The Battle For Kyiv, will be released on Apple TV, Amazon Prime & Google Play on June 6th 2025 in association with BylineTV.

Available in all territories and countries these platforms operate in except for Russia.
Exactly one year ago today, Syrian rebels led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham began an offensive against the Assad regime named “Operation Deterrence of Aggression”.

Less than 2 weeks later, 5 decades of Ba’athist fascism was over.

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

This is Zelenskyy's "if necessary for years, if necessary alone" moment.

A chapter in history that will be remembered both for the shame of Washington's betrayal, and for the dignity, bravery, defiance and resolve of the Ukrainian people in the face of it all.

There is a small subset of pro-Starmer ultras on here who either genuinely don’t understand that budget stories *are directly briefed out by the Treasury, with permission* or pretend not to know that. And so they claim the plans never existed, haven’t changed, etc. It is maddening, and dumb as fuck.

Kyiv, 14th November 2025.

4 dead in a Russian attack on a Ukrainian residential building.

Last night was the worst bombing I have experienced in Kyiv since the war began. 7 hours of non stop aerial attacks across the city.

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

As another weekend of Barclay’s Premier League football gets underway, and a massacre is still unfolding in El Fasher, we cannot lose sight of the fact that the same people who are funding the slaughter in Sudan also own Manchester City Football Club.

It is a national disgrace.

Lord, have mercy.
There are no words for Sudan-- the "blood bath" conclusion marks the complete failure of the international community. This is a horrific situation & like so many other wars, I doubt there will be justice for these survivors & their families.

Russian fascism is engaged in an existential civilisational battle against liberal democracy, with the Ukrainian working class acting as the first line of defence for Europe.

Material support for the Ukrainian armed forces is class solidarity. Arming Kyiv is anti-fascist praxis.

Sultana’s comments are so offensive on so many levels. You can’t “both sides” Putin & Zelenskiy. You can’t speak over the voices of Ukrainian workers who are on the frontlines fighting for democracy & workers rights.

It is Putin and his acolytes who benefit from this war.
We take no joy criticising a young left-wing UK political figure who has often spoken up for workers' rights and progressive causes. But these barely coherent comments from Zarah Sultana on Ukraine sum up much of what is wrong with her wing of the left www.instagram.com/reel/DQT62ys...

We really should, and I can’t stress this enough, abolish the home office and replace it with separate ministries for security and immigration. Instead we’re just going to keep flogging this unreformable dead horse until the heat death of the universe

For many Brits who have made lives abroad, the mere possibility of this becoming UK government policy makes moving back a hugely risky prospect. Who’d want to invest time and effort settling back in Britain while threats of expulsion are dangled over the heads of non-British family members?
Sunday Times interview Tory "rising star" Katie Lam

She is clear she wants lots of legal migrants to be told to "go home" so as "to leave a mostly but not entirely culturally coherent group of people"

(The interviewer suggests she is scrapping ILR or stripping people of it)

Kyiv will certainly be watching the Gaza ceasefire developments closely, as there will be few countries outside of the Middle East that will benefit more from the renewed global attention a ceasefire will bring than Ukraine.
October 9, 2025 at 11:48 AM
I'm as desperate to see the moral abominations in Gaza end as the rest of you, and I understand why there is so much anticipation that this might finally be a ceasefire, but given how this has played out over 2 years, some caution and skepticism should probably be advised.
